Hi, I’m Sophia — a lifelong adventurer, nature-lover, and your go-to guide for exploring the wonders of the Pacific Northwest. My journey has taken me from the marketing world to the mountain trails, and I’ve never looked back. I started Adventuresome LLC in 2017 to share the magic of Washington’s landscapes and experiences with visitors from around the world. Through Adventures In Seattle, I’ve been lucky enough to combine my background in tourism with my passion for storytelling and the outdoors.
In 2025, my journey took an exciting new turn: I had the incredible opportunity to acquire Tour Mt. Rainier when its founder and longtime guide, Diann Sheldon, retired after 12 amazing years of running Tour Mt. Rainier under Discover Nature LLC.
It was a true passing of the hiking boots — from one fierce outdoor woman to another.
Diann built Tour Mt. Rainier with heart, soul, and an unmatched love for nature. Her background as a naturalist, educator, and guide brought thousands of people closer to the mountain and its ecosystems. Whether she was leading wildflower walks, explaining glacial geology, or sharing stories about the park’s wildlife, Diann inspired awe and respect for the natural world.
Her approach was never just about checking off landmarks — it was about connecting with the land, honoring its beauty, and helping others do the same. That spirit is something I deeply admire and am honored to carry forward.
Over the years I’ve traveled the same trails as Diann, often on the same day, but never meeting. Yet through our love of Tahoma we shared a bond and finally, in time, we met and an instant connection was made.
While our paths to guiding were different, Diann and I share the same core values:

Together, our stories celebrate the power of women in business, the joy of connecting people to nature, and the importance of preserving wild places for future generations.
